Kansspelautoriteit, often known as KSA, the Dutch gambling authority, has recently started a new, widely-reaching movement. The goal is to stop affiliates from using websites to promote illicit and online gaming.

In a few months, the Netherlands will introduce its online gaming market. As a result, KSA is currently handling a few last-minute cleanups for its market. It is currently taking action against all forms of illicit gambling that are currently taking place across this nation.

According to the KSA statement, the regulator conducts recurring studies on affiliate marketing for online gaming. Additionally, they are researching the online chance games that are promoted online.

KSA looked into and analysed 44 sites in their last round of action against these affiliates in addition to their observations. It also included instantaneous imposition of punishments and a variety of external reports.

Making marketing and offering online games of chance are strictly prohibited by current Dutch law. It must be altered quickly. But after numerous delays, the Remote Gambling Act eventually entered into effect on April 1. On October 1st, the Netherlands' online gaming sector will formally launch.

Now that the legal structure is in place, any interested operators can apply for a licence to provide online games of chance. But it's against the law for anyone to sell them without a licence.

The internet gaming industry in the Netherlands has taken a while to develop. The country's online gambling sector is now ready to launch after multiple delays, the most recent of which occurred in January of this year.

Its implementation took a little longer than expected since those in charge believed it would create a far better regulatory environment. One of the most important people involved in this game launch, Sander Dekker, made his comments. He stated that before, he had chosen to notify the public that KSA is now planning to enter the market on March 1st, 2021.

Simultaneously, the implementation is also moving forward quite quickly. Everyone involved in this game launch has now realised that meticulous implementations should take a little longer.

KSA also arranged talks with the parties prior to this. Due to the time needed for the complete setup, the stakeholders approved of the postponement. The regulatory agency also provided confirmation regarding the game's release. As a result, the regulatory body stated that after consulting with all parties involved, the decision was made based on this schedule.

But let's now see how long it would take to properly clean up all of these illicit gaming providers and their unlawful advertising. In a few days, the performance of this new market will also be quite evident.
